Piet Porteman began his career in academia as a researcher after having studied communication sciences at KU Leuven.
Over the next few years, he held various strategic positions at Mobistar, now Orange Belgium, including as Head of Residential Customer Management. He joined Telenet group 16 years ago where he has already held several key positions, including in Residential Marketing.
Piet also played a crucial role in the development and marketing of new integrated products such as WIGO and ONE. Afterwards, his focus shifted to the company’s strategic development. In this capacity, Piet took on large-scale initiatives, such as the project that led to the creation of Wyre, our joint venture with Fluvius.
Piet lives in Leuven with his wife and two children. In his spare time, Piet is an avid cyclist. He is also passionate about building and flying model airplanes and enjoys going to concerts.
