Piet Porteman began his career in academia as a researcher after studying Communication Sciences at KU Leuven.
In the following years, he held various strategic roles at Mobistar, now Orange Belgium, including Head of Residential Customer Management. He joined Telenet group 16 years ago and has held several key positions, including within Residential Marketing.
Piet also played a crucial role in the development and launch of new integrated products such as WIGO and ONE. He later focused more on the company’s strategic development, taking on large-scale initiatives such as the project that led to the creation of Wyre, the joint venture with Fluvius.
Piet lives in Leuven with his wife and two children. In his free time, he is an avid cyclist. He also has a passion for building and flying model airplanes and enjoys attending concerts regularly.
