Micha Berger, born in 1970, is CEO of Wyre, a network infrastructure company established in July 2023 as a joint venture between Telenet holding and Fluvius. He leads Wyre with the ambition to deliver internet speeds of up to 10 Gbps, enabling both residential and business customers to benefit from a high-performance digital network.
Micha has extensive experience in the telecom sector. Since 2013, he worked at Telenet group, where as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) he was responsible for engineering, service assurance, and mobile services. In 2019, his role was expanded to include the IT department. Under his leadership, the “De Grote Netwerf” program was launched, bringing internet speeds of up to 1 Gbps to Flanders and Brussels. He also played a key role in a digital transformation program that improved the customer experience.
Before joining Telenet group, Micha was involved at Liberty Global in the development of Horizon Next Generation digital television.
As CEO of Wyre, Micha is working on building a future-proof network that enables both businesses and consumers not only to have reliable connectivity, but also to benefit from innovative digital services.
Micha is married, has three children, and is a nature enthusiast.
