Telenet is part of Liberty Global, a world leader in converged broadband, video and mobile communications and an active investor in cutting-edge infrastructure, content and technology ventures.
This time around, Telenet and LG make up the dream team. Our aim? To give three enthusiastic and outstanding finance graduates a shot at a once-in-a-lifetime, hands-on learning experience through a joint international finance graduate program.
It’s a fast-moving, dynamic business environment – with Finance at the center of everything we do, striving to achieve optimal returns on capital, deliver an efficient control and planning framework, and drive our leveraged equity strategy.
Join our targeted international graduate scheme, and you’ll gain in-depth experience in our Finance operations, while developing your expertise, studying for the internationally accredited CIMA professional qualification, and laying the groundwork for a future leadership career!
Our program consists of three 12-month rotations across Europe and the UK and a range of departments including:
Capital Allocation & Business Control
Audit, Risk & Compliance
Group Reporting & Technical Accounting
Facilities & Fleet
You’ll start off by building your core understanding of the structure, processes, and systems of Finance, before moving into roles within our UK and European operating companies and ventures and finally gaining experience in more expert areas like Treasury, Strategy, and M&A.
We will also fully fund and support your pursuit of a CIMA qualification. This process involves an apprenticeship, with generous study leave and pay progression that are both above industry standards. Alongside your CIMA qualification, you will follow a solid learning and development curriculum to help you build valuable business and soft skills. Courses include presentation training, effective business writing, partner management, and many more.
We’re looking for graduates with a growth mindset, people keen to spread their wings and venture to another country during and after the program is finished. We want to see your passion for finance, your love of a good challenge, and your desire to come up with ideas that inspire and influence our senior leaders. We’re more interested in your qualities than specific qualifications. Other qualities we hope to see in graduates include:
Our purpose is to build Tomorrow’s Connections Today, and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion vision is at the core of that. We believe in creating a culture that empowers colleagues to achieve their potential and bring their whole selves to work every day. We are committed to taking on discrimination in all its forms and being a positive force for good in the world today.
The selection procedure is a three-stage process. We want to spend plenty of time getting to know you, to figure out if you and the program are a good match. Here’s what you can expect:
The program launches in September, when we kick things off with two days of offsite teambuilding. A good, solid sense of community and common goals – that’s what we hope to instill in recent graduates (i.e. all you whip smart, enthusiastic folk who made it through the selection procedure). Plus, we give you the scoop on who Liberty Global is and what they’re all about.
