Bringing our own people together and let them inspire each other. Share new knowledge, ideas and insights. That’s the idea behind YellowCon, Telenet’s very own tech event for its employees. After last year’s reactions, organizing this second edition was a no-brainer. This year we went bigger, more than tripled the participants, but the vibe and atmosphere remained the same, says Filip Nuyts, digital tribe lead.

Get with the latest, get with the greatest

We want to be that inspiring event for our digital colleagues. The get together for those who want to stay up-to-date on product management, AI, modern software, development practices … A gathering to connect with other colleagues, outside of your tribe, to expand your horizon.

It’s created by us and for us, and even with the external speakers it still remains the case.
The whole event just oozes the Telenet vibe. Everything is organized by our own people. And everybody has that same eagerness to learn, shares the same enthusiasm. Something that makes organizer Daniël Zerkowitz more than happy.

Connect and grow

This second edition also included speakers from other companies, like Nike and KBC. To broaden the horizon, but mainly because just like us, they too didn’t start out as digital natives, but are now knocking the digital solutions and experiences out of the ballpark. So we’re three fine examples of legacy companies that really connected with all things digital and absorbed it into our DNA.

An ever-evolving digital tribe

In our digital tribe, we build the digital touchpoints for our customers. So at YellowCon, most people you meet are in the same line of business. We’re a crazy bunch. Diverse and positive people. We’re keen on doing things differently than we did before. Thinking outside the box. That’s where our new ideas take shape. That’s what drives organizer Caroline Verkest.

The whole of Telenet is kind of a beehive, not just the digital tribe. Of course we like the great programmers, but we want to see more. The willingness to dare, learn and share things with your team. The authenticity in your human interactions. Knowing that everyone has its impact on the team, that in a certain way, everybody is a leader. That’s the kind of people we welcome with open arms.
