Telenet is more than a telecom company. The organization's commitment to digital transformation convinced Charlotte, Sophie and Switlana to join the company last year. They're working on our digital marketing campaign strategy. The impact of their work, creativity, continuous learning and their drive to improve products and results make Telenet the best place to work for them.

Charlotte Arts (32) joined Telenet in January as a brand & campaign manager. She studied communication sciences and digital marketing and gained experience as a consultant at various media agencies. “When I felt like a change, choosing a big company was easy,” she says. “I wanted to work in a big team, with lots of different people. And at Telenet, that team feeling is very strong. Also, you can learn a lot here. When I attended training at the Digital Academy during my first week, I realized just how much I could learn.”

Sophie Nicaise (35), who graduated as a business engineer, also has a background in consulting. “But after a few years, I wanted a job with one company, and became a marketer in the banking industry. Three months ago, I switched to Telenet as a digital performance expert. Telenet seemed like a very interesting company, not only because telecom is a basic need, but also from an intellectual point of view. The landscape is changing rapidly, making it a challenge to develop more effective digital campaigns.”

Sophie and Switlana Komac (41) are on the same team. Switlana's language skills landed her a job with a digital media agency as a Search Engine Advertising (SEA) expert early on in her career. “That's how I got into digital marketing,” she laughs. “Once back in Belgium, I gained a lot of experience at digital media agencies, and I've been with Telenet as a search expert for six months now. Agency life was great fun, but I thought it'd be nice to be on the other side for a change, in a company that offers prospects for further growth.”

Working together toward the best results

When Charlotte starts on a project, such as the recent Black Friday campaign, she includes Sophie and Switlana in the briefing. “Together we look at the best way to launch a digital advertising campaign,” she says. “At a later stage, we see where and how improvements can be made. By working together, everything comes together in one media plan.”

“A big bonus is that everyone is at the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays,” says Sophie . “And most meetings are face-to-face. We also have lunch together on those days.” Switlana adds: “The wide variety of products attracted me to Telenet. But what I didn't know was how much people support those products (laughs). For example, an employee once had poor cell phone reception at an amusement park. He shared this internally to find a solution.”

Sophie agrees: “Everyone here wants to make an impact and improve results. Telenet also uses its resources for that: people, budget and backlog management. For example, many new digital profiles are welcomed. The fact that attention is paid to this has a stimulating effect. It's great to realize that Telenet actually lives up to its slogan, 'Ready for Tomorrow'.”

An impact, even on yourself

“What I really like about my job, and what really makes a difference, is the direct impact,” Sophie says. Charlotte adds: “And that you're being creative to make that impact really appeals to me. Telenet is a company that creates high-quality campaigns in-house. Together with your agency, you actively think about how to reach students, for example - because they're often very skeptical of advertising. And as we're increasingly pushing for digital, we're also figuring out what we can improve. Every campaign is a learning curve. Last Monday, we launched our Black Friday campaign. Barely a few days later, we were already fine-tuning it.”

The internal Expedition T platform encourages Telenet employees to seek feedback, follow training and grow internally - or to develop their skills in a completely different role. “Growth really is key here,” Switlana notes. “For example, Telenet also has a library where you can borrow books. It's a very forward-looking company, and it's fun to help form the building blocks of the digital approach within this team.”

Continuous learning

“Being able to take training courses is great,” Sophie concludes. “Above all, I want to be in an environment where I can learn about the topics that interest me so I can make a lasting impact. At Telenet, this is possible. Increasingly, we're becoming a very technical company, with a lot of data that we can utilize, also within marketing. We can test and try out a lot. That's what makes our work truly fascinating. If this interests you, I can only recommend joining Telenet.
