At Telenet, we strongly believe that innovation is what makes the world go round. Through the Telenet Kickstart initiative, we help promising startups and digital entrepreneurs transform their innovative ideas into sustainable businesses. To boost local entrepreneurship, we recently signed a strategic partnership with Start it@kbc.
With 370 startup companies and counting in Flanders and Brussels, Start it@kbc is the largest startup community in Belgium. “It is the place to be for young entrepreneurs looking for expert advice to develop their ideas and bring them to market”, says Erik Luts, Chairman of the Board at Start it@kbc.
The new partnership between Telenet Kickstart and Start it@kbc aims to provide startups with state-of-the-art media and communication expertise, and help them achieve sustainable growth, both locally and internationally.
By teaming up with Start it@kbc, Telenet Kickstart is engaging in much more than a financial sponsorship. Next to providing Start it@kbc with financial support to further develop their pitching and sales coaching programmes, we will also delegate Telenet mentors to collaborate closely with the startup community on a regular basis. Specialized in media, entertainment and telecommunication, the Telenet mentors will assist all startups with tailor-made advice.
Telenet CEO John Porter concludes: “As a company that adheres great importance to innovation, we want to be a catalyst for promising entrepreneurs, helping young talent to develop and digital startups to thrive. The Telenet Kickstart programme is our way of putting this ambition into practice. This new strategic partnership with Start it@kbc confirms our earlier commitment and continues our investment in the startup community. As a firm believer in the power of collaboration, we offer promising startups made to measure expertise and access to internationalization. It is our way of enabling talented entrepreneurs to fully exploit their growth opportunities.”
